I recently read a post on clutchmagazineonline.com which stood up to the media that has often tried to determine what makes us beautiful as women of color. The author boldly voiced her thoughts, that we no longer care what society thinks about our curves or our skin color, but are our dollars saying otherwise? Cosmetics is a billion dollar industry that has survived our economic crisis and is still striving. We must be contributing to the numbers because dermatologists are shifting their attention to the growing skin of color demographic. In fact, patients with skin of color spent nearly $3 billion dollars on cosmetic procedures last year.

Put your money where your mouth is... Tell me where you are spending your hard earned cash. Is it on your hair, makeup, skin care, cosmetic procedures or some else? Do you believe women of color are no longer seeking approval from mass media? Tell me why.
